My husband did the research and found Burley. We feel it's very safe & secure for our daughters, and it rides smooth. It's easy to attach to the bike and is a great stroller as well.
We love how easy it is to switch from trailer to stroller mode. Our son likes riding in it and we've used it a lot.
I was just out running in poor weather to try it out. But the top quality is so poor i can't recommend taking it out in bad weather. Water is RUNNING through the sealing. Is like a river in each stitches in top cover. The water sticks to the fabric and gets through. I spend 3000 danish croners on a trailer that is NOT water resistant. It's water attracting. Had it for 2 yeara now. But i allways wondered where the water got in. But my daughter just told me today. Ussually doesnt take them out in bad weather.
I bought this at the beginning of the summer so I could ride my bike, while my 4 yr old daughter rides hers, and my 18 mo old son could enjoy a ride also. He loves riding in it ( my daughter does too on occasion) and it's so easy to pull. With only my son in it, I rarely feel the trailer. When both of them are in it, I can feel it but it's smooth riding and not an issue. I LOVE the big pocket; my diaper bag fits in it and could easily fit in another small bag if needed. I also love the drink holders! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to my son's helmet. He's a little guy now so sits lower and his head and helmet don't fit in the mesh part above the seat. His head seems to be at an awkward angle and his helmet pushes forward almost over his eyes. As he gets bigger, I hope it doesn't continue to be a problem.
We bought the honeybee to use behind our bike but it has gotten so much use from being used as a stroller! It's light weight and easy to maneuver. It takes only seconds to collapse. Our daughter is so comfortable inside. It has a ton of storage room as well! Fantastic and worth the investment!
I love how this so quickly and easily can change from stroller to trailer. It has helped us almost never need to use our car!
I love this trailer and so does my son. It needs an adjustable back so that when the kids are smaller you don't have to prop them up so much with blankets.
Quality materials and construction. Very well designed.
We have had our honey bee trailer for almost three months and have used it every week, often multiple times in one day. It is very convenient to bike to the grocery, then take it off the bike and shop with it as a stroller. We also like to take it on trails and around the neighborhood. It is light weight, offers a smooth ride, and has ample cargo space-we can all of our swim gear in there, which is saying a lot! It gives enough room for our 4 and 1 year olds to sit and not complain. :) Overall a great design, with just a few things that I wish were different- The cup holders are placed in such a way that they take away space from where the kids sit. It can get hot inside even with the mesh cover-I wish it had lighter colors than red and black to perhaps make it cooler The attachment to the bike can be tricky-we have gotten our fingers pinched a few times. It'd be nice to have pocket space in a different location in the cargo spot-I had my phone in the back pocket and it came out during a ride, even with the top velcroed down. Thankfully it was ok! All in all, this is a fantastic trailer that we are happy to use, and it has been a fun way to get outside and explore for our entire family.
I bought this last fall so I could continue to ride with my 2 year old son (another one coming and can't wait to get both of them out). I can be set up and ready to ride in 1-2 minutes and the ride is incredibly smooth. One of the great features of the Honey Bee is that it easily converts to a stroller. In fact, the stroller itself is as good a ride as any stroller we've tried. The ride is smooth, lots of storage, and folds up for easy travel. The only negative to the product is the inability to use some of the other attachments that Burley offers (running stroller wheel, ski attachment, etc.). I can't wait for when they release those things for this model.
